先日将棋のタイトル戦の前夜祭に行ってきました！

The other day, I had the chance to attend the eve-of-match reception for a shogi title match!

日本全国津々浦々でタイトル戦が行われる中、行けるな！って距離でタイトル戦があるなんて想像していなかったので、飛びつきました笑。

Title matches are held all over Japan, so I never imagined one would be held close enough for me to actually go – as soon as I realised it was within reach, I jumped at the opportunity (haha).

まず、ジャケット着ていかなかったことを反省。笑

First off, I regret not wearing a jacket — lesson learned! (Lol)

でも棋士の方々にお会いでき、美味しい食事も頂きました。

But I had the chance to meet some professional shogi players and enjoy a delicious meal.

そして、佐藤康光九段にお酒を注いで頂きました！光栄でした！

And to top it off, I had the honour of having my drink poured by 9-dan player Yasumitsu Sato! It was truly an honour.

また機会があったら参加したいと思います！

If I get another opportunity, I’d love to attend again!
